Sketchy Red Birds

Sketchy Red Birds, a photo by Julie902 on Flickr.

This is a miniature quilt inspired by a design in Little Birds: 26 Handmade Projects to Sew, Stitch, Quilt and Love.
I did this to practise free motion sketchy quilting.  I am pretty happy with the way it turned out.  I will give my little birds eyes and bind it in red.

Kumihimo Disk

Trying out my new Kumihimo Disk to make an eight cord braid.  Love it. It is so easy. I think I might use this braid as the vine on a garden quilt I have in progress.

An inspired version of 'Spring Will Come' by Kajsa Wikman. The full quilt pattern can be found in We Love Color at Book Depository.
