Rainbow Snake Creates

This is a work in progress and my entry into the Braidwood Quilt Shop challenge "Rainbow Snake". I chose to go with the aboriginal story of the rainbow snake,  who creates the land.   As this is the Year of the Snake in the Chinese zodiac I could have also pulled on that for inspiration.

New flower pincushion

I decided to make Myself a new pincushion.  It is a biscornu made of wool felt with an appliquéd flower and a button center.  I am very happy with how it turned out, especially as I did not use a pattern.

Love Crosses a miniature red and white quilt.

Finally finished one of my small red and white quilts.  This is now ready to go into the Queanbeyan Show this weekend.

I have just received my copy of  Quilty Fun from the Fat Quarter Shop and I love it!  Super cute designs!  The book is by Lori Holt and I have been following her blog for a while.  Very inspiring!
